Several states hold primary elections “late” in each election cycle. For instance, Arizona’s primary will be July 30th. This timing creates a challenge for Force Multiplier in identifying candidates to support in races projected to be competitive based on our research.

Nominee funds provide a way to raise funds for these competitive races “pre-primary.” Money raised between now + the primary will be held in an escrow or nominee account + will be released to the winner once the primary is over.

This district is based in northeastern Phoenix + Scottsdale. The seat is currently held by Republican David Schweikert who was re-elected in 2022 with 50.4% of the vote. The race is viewed as a competitive “toss-up” at this point + as such, represents an excellent “pick-up” opportunity for Democrats. The results of the 2020 presidential election in AZ 01 following redistricting include Joe Biden with 50.1% of the vote + Donald Trump receiving 48.5% of the vote.
