We are an independent, all-volunteer, self-funded organization.

Our Strategy

We work on three intersecting fronts to secure victory in the 2026 midterms:

Fighting autocracy by supporting groups working to uphold the Constitution, the rule of law and free and fair elections. We promote civil resistance in town halls, public protests, and similar mobilizations.
Creating favorable conditions for winning the midterms by supporting groups working to counter far-right propaganda and to engage voters.
Supporting candidates in competitive races to win Democratic control of the US House and close the gap in the Senate in 2026.

We do the research, so you don’t have to.

We identify the races most likely to increase the power of Democrats in the House and Senate. Our recommendations are driven by research, not ideology.
We identify the preeminent groups fighting autocracy, countering far-right propaganda with pro-democracy, fact-based content, and turning out voters. These groups have a track record of success and need our support.

We give you access to candidates and leaders.

Regular, virtual events that allow you to meet and ask questions of the candidates and leaders of the groups we support.
Our suggested contribution is $100 but donations of any size are welcome.

We don’t touch a dime of your money.

One hundred percent of donations go directly to the candidates or organizations we recommend.
Donors choose where to invest among our evolving slates of candidates and groups.

We respect your privacy and your time.

We send emails only when we have received your permission to do so. We send an average of two or three emails each week.
We never share, swap or sell our lists. By donating through FM’s Act Blue pages, you will never be added to another email list without your permission.

Our Story

Force Multiplier was founded in 2017 in response to the authoritarian threats posed by the first Trump administration. Today, we are responding to its unprecedented power grab.

We have grown from our founding group of twelve in the Boston area to a national network of over 12,000 donors who have collectively contributed about $29 million dollars. Thirty-five current members of the House and 11 current members of the Senate have been elected with the support of Force Multiplier's donors.

Since the 2024 elections, we have broadened our strategy from primarily electoral to include support for groups working to fight autocracy and defend democracy and civil society.

We have expanded our activities beyond fundraising to include participation in forms of civil resistance like town halls, public protests, and similar mobilizations. And we have been responding to new “rules of the game” for winning elections by supporting groups working to develop an online media presence that amplifies pro-democracy and fact-based content and by supporting groups working to ensure free and fair elections in all 50 states.

Taken together, our work is laser focused on winning the ’26 midterms which are key to reversing the slide towards authoritarianism.
