The Senate currently has 45 Democrats, 53 Republicans and 2 Independents who caucus with Democrats. Senate control IS within reach if we successfully defend Democrat seats and flip Ohio, Maine, North Carolina and Alaska – all very competitive races supported by FM.
We need a Senate that will work with a Democratic House to address issues that matter- from affordability and health care to sensible immigration policy, voting rights, social justice and climate change.
We need a Senate that will check the worst instincts of Trump in making Supreme Court Justice nominations and waging illegal wars of choice.
We need a Senate that helps restore our faith in the promise and potential of democracy.
