Denise Powell Nebraska 02 Open Seat DONATE to the FM House Slate DONATE to Denise's Campaign • Return to the House Slate “I’d be the first Latina, the first person of color, to ever serve in federal office in Nebraska....People are ready for some change here....they are frustrated by an administration that is breaking its promises, and everyone in my community is really struggling right now. I hear it every day from families, farmers, veterans, and seniors... I’m proud to have earned this opportunity, and I’m ready to fight like hell for Nebraska.” (Powell press release after NE 02 primary victory, 5/15/26) “I’ll stand up to Trump’s abuse of power and attacks on our democracy, and I’ll work to defend the health, safety and financial well-being of Nebraskan families. I’ll do what career politicians haven’t: Deliver for working people, not special interest groups.” (Campaign website) To hear directly from candidate Powell, watch this short video: ‘This is our year,’ says Democrat looking to flip Don Bacon’s Nebraska district BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Powell moved to Omaha with her husband 17 years ago. She has been deeply engaged in the Omaha community serving the interests of under-resourced populations and addressing the barriers faced by women – particularly women of color. She has been on the boards of the Immigrant legal Center, the Women’s Center for Advancement, and Amplify Arts. Powell is a former corporate executive, small business owner, healthcare advocate, and public school supporter. This is her first run for political office, but she is well known in political circles from her work recruiting and supporting women candidates in Nebraska. A 2000 graduate of the University of Miami, Powell worked for public relations firms Edelman-Ketchum and Fleishman-Hillard before working in-house for PepsiCo and Hilton Hotels. After moving to Omaha in 2009, she established her own public relations consulting business. From 2015-2021 Powell was a partner working on external relations for an Omaha architecture firm. Following the 2026 election, Powell founded Women Who Run, a Nebraska state-level PAC dedicated to recruiting and supporting progressive women running for office. ON THE ISSUES Powell’s priorities are described in more detail on her campaign website: Standing up for hardworking Nebraska families Reducing costs Protecting access to affordable healthcare Defending reproductive healthcare Making communities safer Working to strengthen the local and national economies Focusing on innovation while protecting Nebraska workers Supporting Nebraska farmers Protecting Nebraska’s education system Fighting for democracy - defending the constitution and the nation Demanding ethical government Maintaining a strong national security and defending our interests abroad Demanding real changes to our broken immigration system POLITICS IN NEBRASKA NE 02 has been held by Republican Don Bacon since 2016 when he was the only Republican to flip a House seat. His decision not to seek another term has created an open seat in one of just three Republican–held seats won by Kamala Harris in ‘24 by five points. Bacon won his final re-election in ‘24 by two points. This race represents a clear pick-up opportunity for Democrats. The district is among the most evenly divided in the nation with a slim D+0.8 margin. Powell was victorious in the May ‘26 Democratic primary, defeating six other candidates, including members of the Omaha political establishment. Her general election opponent is Republican Brinker Harding who was unopposed in the Republican primary. This race is rated Lean D although the seat is currently Republican.

  • About Sarah Trone Garriott | Force Multiplier

Sarah Trone Garriott Iowa 03 Challenger DONATE to the FM House Slate DONATE to Sarah's Campaign • Return to the House Slate “I’m no stranger to tough fights. I’m the only Iowa Democrat who flipped two seats from red to blue, then won a district that went to Trump in 2024. I know how to win, and I know how to deliver for Iowans. “Zach Nunn has failed us. As Iowans struggle with higher costs, attacks on our personal freedoms and reckless cuts to our public schools, Zach Nunn is not showing up, he’s not listening, and he’s not working for us. Iowans know that I show up for all my constituents, and that I listen. And I speak out.” (Campaign Announcement, Iowa Capital Dispatch, 5/05/25). To hear directly from Candidate Trone Garriott, watch this short video: State Sen. Sarah Trone Garriott launches campaign for US House seat, challenging Zach Nunn BACKGROUND AND EXPEREIENCE Sarah Trone Garriott has served her community as a minister, a mom, a non-profit leader, and an Iowa State Senator. A native of Minnesota, she earned a BA in history from the College of St. Scholastica. Garriot became a VISTA volunteer in New Mexico and later earned a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School and a Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. From 2004 to 2025, she served in various locations across the country as Lutheran minister, pastor, and interfaith engagement coordinator. In 2020, Garriott was elected to the Iowa Senate District 22. In 2022, following redistricting, she defeated the then Iowa State Senate president to represent District 14. She was re-elected to this seat in 2024 in a close race against her Republican opponent. Garriott is currently the ranking member of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. Her husband William is a professor at Drake University and they have two sons. ON THE ISSUES These are the issues that identify Garriott’s priorities and values: Making life more affordable for all Great public schools for every child, every community Protect Iowa’s land, water, and clean energy future Public safety Reproductive freedom is personal – and non-negotiable Serve our veterans like they served us Standing for your retirement and your health The right to organize and the dignity of work POLITICS IN IOWA Iowa has long been considered a swing state. Consistent with Trump’s double-digit 2024 win in the state, however, it has trended solidly Republican for the last decade. Both of Iowa’s U.S. Senators are Republican as is its four-person House of Representatives delegation. Zach Nunn, who has been serving in Congress since 2023, is Garriott’s opponent in the upcoming race. He won reelection by four points in 2024, similar to Trump’s margin of victory in the district. However, both the Cook Political Report and Sabato's Crystral Ball rate this seat as Toss-up, indicating that neither party has an advantage. Nunn initially considered running for Governor and chose to run for re-election after pressure from national Republicans who want to protect this seat. Senator Garriott’s track record winning three elections to the State Senate, her legislative experience, and her compelling resume point to an excellent opportunity for Democrats to flip this Republican seat.

  • About Paige Cognetti | Force Multiplier

Paige Cognetti Pennsylvania 08 Challenger DONATE to the FM House Slate DONATE to Paige's Campaign • Return to the House Slate “My public service career has been dedicated to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in government. I’m ready to take that fight to the place that needs it most: a Washington controlled by special interests and self-serving politicians who put the people last. Nobody works harder than the people of NEPA (Northeastern PA), and they deserve a government that works as hard as they do.” (Cognetti Campaign Website) “I’m running for Congress because people here deserve a lot better than a rich kid disrespecting our hard work and proud legacy. We can stand tall against Washington that takes advantage of working people and make it work for us. People deserve a future they can believe in and a government that works as hard as they do, always.” (Penn Capital Star, 9/2/25) To hear directly from candidate Cognetti, watch this short video: MUST-SEE: Democrat goes VIRAL for the BEST reason BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Paige Gebhardt Cognetti was born in Oregon and is married to Ryan Cognetti. The couple has two children. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon and has an MBA from Harvard University. Cognetti worked with the U.S. Treasury and was appointed to the Scranton School Board before she become a special assistant to the Pennsylvania State Auditor. When the mayor of Scranton resigned in 2019 after pleading guilty to federal charges, Cognetti ran as an independent with the slogan “Paige against the Machine” and won. She immediately turned her attention to alleviating the city’s financial problems. Since then Scranton has been able to discard the designation of “financially distressed.” Signal accomplishments during Cognetti’s tenure include: Improving Scranton’s credit from junk bond to investment status and achieving a budget surplus Streamlining the permitting process to facilitate the building of 1,000 new housing units, issuing 10,000 building permits, and opening 600 shops and eateries Investing more than $4 million in police technology and training, hiring five new officers, and purchasing new vehicles for police and fire departments Cognetti is challenging Republican incumbent Rob Bresnahan because he “broke the trust” of his constituents. Despite his support for a ban on congressional stock trading, Bresnahan has engaged in more than 600 stock transactions. ON THE ISSUES Committed to bringing reform, transparency, and accountability to Northeast Pennsylvania, Cognetti has three priorities guiding her decisions and actions: Government should work as hard as the people it serves Fight for families so they can get ahead Northeastern Pennsylvania builds: build it here POLITICS IN PENNSYLVANIA Pennsylvania is generally viewed as a highly competitive swing state. Democrat Josh Shapiro is Governor and Democrats control the state House of Representatives, but Republicans hold the majority in the state Senate. In Congress, seven of the state’s 17 House seats are held by Democrats and the Senate delegation is split between Democrats and Republicans. PA-08 is in the northeastern corner of Pennsylvania and is a collection of suburban and rural districts clustered around Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. The district has been trending red and went for Trump in ‘24 by eight points. Rob Bresnahan beat three-term Democrat Matt Cartwright in a tight race in ‘24. The race is currently rated Lean R by both the Cook and Sabato rating services indicating the Republican has a narrow edge, but the race is competitive. In the Democrat’s favor, popular governor Josh Shapiro, who won PA 08 by 10 points in 2022, is running for re-election. Despite Trump’s recent endorsement, Bresnahan has received negative publicity concerning questionable stock investment activities.

  • About Mary Peltola | Force Multiplier

Mary Peltola Alaska Challenger DONATE to the FM Senate Slate DONATE to Mary's Campaign • Return to the Senate Slate “I'm done with politicians getting richer while things get tougher here at home. Systemic change is the only way to bring down grocery costs, save our fisheries, lower energy prices, and build new housing Alaskans can actually afford. Systemic change is the only way to fill our homes with abundance. My agenda for Alaska will always be: fish, family, freedom. These values have been the core values of my campaigns since the very beginning. But if we’re going to secure Alaska’s future, we need another priority: fighting corruption. I'm running for Alaska's Senate seat because it is the fight for our future.” (Campaign Announcement, 1/12/26) To hear directly from Ms. Peltola, watch this short video: My Decision BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Mary Peltola made history in 2022 as the first Alaska Native to serve in Congress, the first woman to represent Alaska in the House, and the first Alaskan-born individual to serve in this chamber. Peltola is Yup'ik and grew up in the close-knit communities of Kwethluk, Tuntutuliak, Platinum, and Bethel. She experienced firsthand the life that many Alaskans lead. As mother of seven children, her love and dedication to her family shines through in everything she does. A lifelong Alaskan, she began fishing with her father at age six and worked as a herring and salmon technician for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game during college. At 24, Peltola was elected to the Alaska State House of Representatives where she served for ten years. In that role she chaired and rebuilt the Bush Caucus helping to pass legislation and influence budgets that improved lives in rural Alaska. In the vast expanse of Alaska, with its 228 Alaska Native Tribes, Peltola has gone above and beyond to represent all Alaskans. Peltola beat former Gov. Sarah Palin in a 2022 special election to fill the seat of Don Young, a longtime congressman who died that year. It was an upset win that flipped the seat to blue for the first time since the 1970s. She then won a full term that fall, with Alaska’s ranked-choice voting system vaulting her past Palin and Nick Begich III, another Republican. But Begich won a rematch in 2024, ousting Peltola by two percentage points. After her time in Congress, Peltola joined Holland & Hart as Senior Director of Alaska Affairs working on projects to improve economic conditions in the state. ON THE ISSUES Mary Peltola’s mantra "Fish, Family, and Freedom," expresses core Alaskan values. She successfully delivered for Alaskans during her two years in Congress. After 30 years of delays, Peltola worked with the delegation to secure the Willow Oil Project and resulting well-paid jobs across the state. After five years of delays, she won a ban on foreign trawled fish. Peltola has brought more than $9 billion to Alaska for infrastructure and rural broadband and hundreds of millions of dollars to renovate the Railbelt Energy Grid lowering energy prices. Peltola is dedicated to development, protecting fish, reducing energy prices, and building an Alaska where people can remain in the state, raise their kids, and watch their grandkids grow up. Mary Peltola is a moderate Blue Dog Democrat who served as co-Chair of the Blue Dog Coalition for Policy from 2023 to 2025. POLITICS IN ALASKA Alaska has been a Republican-leaning state for at least the last 50 years. Republicans have won the state's Electoral College votes in every election since the state’s inception except for the 1964 Lyndon Johnson landslide. Currently, both U.S. Senators are Republican as is the state’s sole member of the House. Mary Peltola is considered perhaps the only person who could pose a threat to Senator Dan Sullivan, a Republican former state attorney general who is up for re-election this year. He was re-elected in 2020 with 53.9% of the vote so is a formidable opponent. Alaska has an open, “jungle” primary system with ranked choice voting in general elections. The state’s open primary is scheduled for August 18. The top four vote-getters will advance to the November general election regardless of party affiliation. Peltola’s reputation as a non-partisan, moderate problem solver should serve her well in this context. Though Trump carried the state by 13% in ‘24, both the Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball rate this seat as only Lean R – acknowledging Peltola’s competitive position. Ratings are as of 3/10/2026.

Jared Moskowitz Florida 25 Challenger DONATE to the FM House Slate DONATE to Jared's Campaign • Return to the House Slate “DHS has simply grown too big and too vulnerable to political dysfunction. When a department becomes this massive, the mission gets lost. FEMA needs to move faster when disaster strikes; TSA officers and travelers should not be caught in the middle of shutdown politics; and protecting the President should not depend on the bureaucracy of a massive department.” (MeidasTouch Network, 535 News, 5/13/26) “Congress is on the verge of irrelevancy. We have done this to ourselves, and no one is coming to save us if we don't show some sign of life.” (Moskowitz Press Release Statement on Massie-Khanna War Powers Resolution, 5/5/26) To hear directly from candidate Moskowitz, watch this short video: Moskowitz Criticizes Wasteful GOP Bill: 'I Decided to DOGE Your Budget' BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE A native and lifelong resident of South Florida, Moskowitz has a BA in Political Science from George Washington University and a law degree from Nova Southeastern University. He interned for Vice President Al Gore and worked on several Democratic campaigns He was a Florida elector for Barack Obama in 2008. Moskowitz was elected to the Parkland City Commission while in law school and served for six years. He championed public safety and environmental initiatives. In 2012, Moskowitz was elected to the Florida House of Representatives where he served for six years, building a reputation as a bipartisan problem-solver. After the 2018 mass shooting at his alma mater Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Moskowitz was instrumental in crafting the comprehensive Douglas High School Public Safety Act addressing school safety and gun violence. Governor DeSantis appointed Moskowitz Director of Florida’s Division of Emergency Management in 2018. In that role he managed several crises including some hurricanes and the state’s response to the Covid pandemic. Later Moskowitz was appointed to the Broward County Commission, working on issues of affordability, infrastructure, public safety, and transportation. Moskowitz was elected to Congress in 2022 from FL 23. He is on the Foreign Relations Committee as ranking member of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Accountability and as a member of the Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and Indo-Pacific. He is a member of the House Judiciary Committee and is a co-founder of the Bipartisan Disaster Preparedness Caucus. He helped co-launch the Bipartisan School Safety and Security Caucus. Moskowitz and his wife Leah live in Parkland and have two sons. ON THE ISSUES Moskowitz has long demonstrated leadership on security, school safety, and crisis management. He brings a results-focused bi-partisan mindset to his roles in Congress as a strong, effective advocate for South Florida families. His campaign website details these priorities: Defending democracy and the rule of law Preventing gun violence Safeguarding reproductive rights Standing up for the LGBTQ+ community Protecting Social Security, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act Standing up for Israel Fighting for affordability Bringing economic stability and financial opportunities to empower and include everyone Protecting the environment and mitigating effects of climate change Preventing the next pandemic POLITICS IN FLORIDA Redistricting has virtually dismantled Moskowitz’s current district. The new FL 25 includes nearly half of the population of his current district 23, strengthening his chances for reelection despite aggressive gerrymandering efforts by Governor DeSantis and Florida’s legislature. The new FL 25 combines elements of the current FL 23, 24, and 25 districts and consists of a narrow strip from Boca Raton to Miami Beach. Moskowitz’s Republican opponent won’t be determined until the August primary giving Moskowitz some initial advantage in the general election. However, he will probably face significant, well-funded opposition considering the current make-up of the Republican primary field. The general election campaign, currently rated Toss-up, will be highly competitive.

Jamie Ager North Carolina 11 Challenger DONATE to the FM House Slate DONATE to Jamie's Campaign • Return to the House Slate “I’ve been humbled by the incredible support we have received from every county here in the mountains since announcing earlier this year. Chuck Edwards has failed to lead Western North Carolina during the most challenging period in our recent history. From failing to deliver during Helene recovery, to selling out farmers, to cutting crucial benefits folks here rely on - it’s clear that Chuck Edwards isn’t cut out to represent us in Congress.“ (Press release, 12/1/25) “I know firsthand the stress many small business owners and families face - navigating health insurance, making payroll, managing cash flow, and contending with rising costs. I understand why people feel abandoned by both parties, and I’m running to make sure no one feels unseen.“ ( Campaign web site ) To hear directly from candidate Ager, watch this short video: How You Run a Farm | Jamie Ager for Congress BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Jamie Ager is a fourth-generation farmer and entrepreneur. He was born and grew up living and working on his family’s farm in Western North Carolina. Community service and politics have long been part of Ager’s life. His grandfather served in Congress and both his father and brother were in the state legislature. Ager is a graduate of Warren Wilson College with a BS in Environmental Studies with concentrations in sustainable agriculture and history. He participated in an Agriculture Leadership Development Program at North Carolina State University. Ager and his wife Amy run Hickory Nut Gap, a sustainable meat company supporting 25 employees and working with dozens of farmers in Western North Carolina. They have three sons. ON THE ISSUES Ager is concerned that bureaucracies are too slow and cumbersome in responding to the needs of the residents of Western North Carolina. For example, he is critical of the Department of Homeland Security’s poor handling of hurricane relief and with its immigration policies and operations. As detailed on his campaign website, his priorities in Congress will be: cutting bureaucratic red tape in disaster relief programs making quality healthcare accessible and affordable to rural Americans reducing costs and increasing wages stopping insider stock trading by members of Congress POLITICS IN NORTH CAROLINA North Carolina has voted for the Republican candidate in all but one presidential election since 1980. The exception was Obama in 2008. Both US senators are Republicans and only four of the state’s 14 House delegates are Democrats. Ager’s opponent is incumbent Republican Representative Chuck Edwards. He was first elected to Congress in ‘22 and re-elected in ‘24 with 57% of the vote in a district Trump carried with 54%. A strong Trump supporter, Edwards has sponsored legislation to keep immigrants from being counted in the census. He stopped conducting in-person town hall meetings in 2025 following verbal attacks at prior meetings. The race is currently rated Lean R by Sabato's Crystal Ball, Likely R by the Cook Political Report. and Likely Republican by Inside Elections. Both Cook and Inside Elections previously rated it Solid R. Such changes likely reflect Ager’s strong candidacy and recent public opinion shifts away from Trump impacting the competitiveness of the race in Ager’s favor.

Don Davis North Carolina 01 Incumbent DONATE to the FM House Slate DONATE to Don's Campaign • Return to the House Slate “My vision for NC 01 is: we must meet our constituents where they are, ensuring they are seen and heard in Washington, D.C., to make life better for all families and provide hope and assurance they are not forgotten… We will keep advocating for our families, our farmers, our veterans, our students, and the future we believe in.” (Press Release, 4/24/25) To hear directly from Congressman Davis, watch this short video: Congressman Don Davis on new congressional maps in NC BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Congressman Don Davis was raised in Snow Hill, NC. At 29 he became the youngest mayor of Snow Hill and served seven years. He was elected to the State Senate in 2008 and served six terms. Davis holds a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the US Air Force Academy and was an Air Force Officer for eight years. He has a master's degree in Administration from Central Michigan University, a master's degree in Sociology, and a doctorate in Education from East Carolina University. Davis has spent his life answering the call to serve as a veteran, educator, minister, and public servant. In 2022, he was elected to represent North Carolina’s first Congressional district comprised of 19 eastern NC counties. He was re-elected in 2024. Davis is now the Vice Ranking member of the powerful House Committee on Agriculture and the Vice Ranking member of the Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness. He lives in Greene County, NC with his wife Yuvonka and their three sons. ON THE ISSUES Representative Davis has a steadfast commitment to government that works for the people. His specific priorities, as detailed on his campaign website, include: Rebuilding our rural economy Providing accessible healthcare Support for veterans and military families Strengthening education Building rural infrastructure Protecting women’s rights and health Protecting the environment Ensuring equity and Justice POLITICS IN NORTH CAROLINA + DISTRICT 01 North Carolina has voted for the Republican candidate in all but one presidential election since 1980. An exception was in 2008 when a plurality of North Carolinians voted for Barack Obama. Trump carried the state by 3.2% in 2016. North Carolina's US Senators are both Republican. Four of the state’s 14 members of the House are Democrats. In addition to NC 01, the other major race in the state in 2026 will be for the US Senate seat held by Republican Thom Tillis. Tillis will not seek re-election due, in part, to his opposition to several Trump Administration policies and, as a result, the strong likelihood of a primary challenge. Democratic Congressman Wiley Nickel has declared for the seat. North Carolina redrew its congressional districts in 2025. Voters will elect representatives under the new map in 2026. Republican-led gerrymandering caused NC 01 to change shape, in part, to oust incumbent Davis. Following redistricting, Davis decided to run for re-election in the “new” district. Since many voters will be new to him and despite the fact the district now leans Republican, he faces a challenging but not insurmountable bid to hold this seat. With the completion of the 3/3/26 Primary, Republican Laurie Buckhout and Conservative Tom Bailey will face Don in November 2026. With redistricting complete, both Cook and Sabato currently rate this race as Lean R indicating that Republicans have a small edge, but the race is competitive.

Last November, we won the trust of voters from across the party spectrum, and we nearly sent a farm kid from Western Wisconsin to congress. The truth is we need more working-class voices like ours in Washington who have lived with failed policy and will fight like hell to build back the middle class. Resilience is about not giving up against the odds. It reminds me of something my brother learned in the Navy - ‘you don't stop when you’re tired, you stop when it's done.’ So, let’s get to work.” (Twitter, 3/11/25) To hear directly from candidate Cooke, watch this short video: Rebecca Cooke on Ali Velshi BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Rebecca Cooke is a small-business owner and nonprofit leader. A 7th generation Wisconsin resident and graduate of University of St. Thomas, she grew up in Eau Claire and worked on her family’s dairy farm. During college, Cooke worked for a non-profit that supported low-income families and was involved with a social justice program. This experience provided a foundation for her commitment to service. Rebecca Cooke is founder of The Red Letter Grant, a nonprofit that “supports women entrepreneurs throughout ten counties in western Wisconsin.” (Ballotpedia). It provides support for female entrepreneurs with start-up capital, technical assistance, and networking opportunities. Previously she was appointed by Governor Tony Evers to the Board of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. Cooke also operates an Airbnb business and waits on tables part-time at a local restaurant. Cooke ran unsuccessfully in the District 03 Democratic primary in 2022 and for the WI 03 congressional seat in ‘24. She lost that race to incumbent Derrick Van Orden, her opponent in ‘26, by 2.8%. ON THE ISSUES Rebecca Cooke’s priorities are detailed on her campaign website. They include: Healing our healthcare system Creating an economy built for working families Fighting for Wisconsin’s original entrepreneur, the farmer Strengthening the working class and empowering unions Ensuring seniors age with dignity Protecting reproductive health freedoms Strengthening our education system Improving water quality and investing in clean energy Keeping Main Streets strong In detailing these issues, Cooke notes: “I won’t solve all our problems overnight, but I’ll sure as hell try. We might not see eye to eye on everything, but I’m going to fight for the region’s future.” (Campaign Website) POLITICS IN WISCONSIN Wisconsin has emerged as a critical battleground state. In 2020, Biden narrowly carried it by 0.7% and Trump carried it in ‘16 by 0.8% and by .09 % in 2024. Though Democrats made gains in ‘24 in the state’s legislature, both the Assembly and Senate are majority Republican. Wisconsin’s governor, secretary of state and attorney general are Democrats, and the Supreme Court has a liberal majority. In Congress, Wisconsin has one Democratic and one Republican senator. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D) was re-elected in 2024 for another six-year term. Only two of the state’s eight House delegation are Democrats. Wisconsin has been at the center of a strong and controversial gerrymander favoring Republicans following the 2020 census. Democratic strength is largely concentrated in the urban areas of Milwaukee and Dane counties and Republicans generally have strength in rural areas including District 03. District 03 includes the Driftless Area in southwestern Wisconsin including Eau Claire and La Crosse. It borders Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. The incumbent is first term Republican Derrick Van Orden who flipped the seat in ‘22 with 51.9% and won a second term in ‘24 defeating Rebecca Cooke by 2.8%. Though there is another declared Democratic candidate in the WI 03 race, Cooke is dominating in fundraising and is the choice of the Democratic party as the presumptive nominee. If needed, the Wisconsin primary is scheduled for August 11. The WI 03 race is rated Toss Up by both the Cook and Sabato; neither party has an advantage at this point. WI 03 represents an excellent “flip” opportunity for Democrats.

Media-savvy and adept at reaching Gen Z voters, he brings a new generational voice to national politics. Ossoff’s early career included roles as deputy communications manager, campaign manager, and senior legislative aide to Rep. Hank Johnson, to whom he was recommended by mentor Rep. John Lewis. In 2017, he drew national attention with a near-upset in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, long a Republican stronghold not considered competitive at the time. After forcing a high-profile run-off election, Ossoff lost his bid by 9,282 votes. In 2020, Ossoff forced a runoff against Perdue, winning alongside Raphael Warnock in January 2021—victories that secured Democrats’ Senate majority just a day before the January 6th insurrection. He is married to Dr. Alisha Kramer, an OB/GYN resident at Emory University Hospital, and they have a daughter. ON THE ISSUES Ossoff is progressive on women’s rights and health care, centrist on the economy and national security, and known for bipartisan work on military family protections, the opioid crisis, cold-case civil rights murders, anti-corruption measures, and prison reform. In his first two years, he passed more standalone bills than any other freshman senator. Highlights of his positions: Ban congressional stock trading Strong supporter of abortion rights and Planned Parenthood Opposes defunding police and abolishing ICE Raise federal minimum wage to $15/hour; protect Social Security End Trump-era tax cuts Backed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Accepts climate science; opposes environmental rollbacks Supports comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship Champions the John Lewis Voting Rights Act In the 117th Congress, he voted with the Biden agenda 97% of the time and has been a vocal Trump critic. POLITICS IN GEORGIA Georgia remains a political epicenter. Biden won the state by 0.24% in 2020; Trump carried it by 2.2% in 2024. Ossoff’s 2026 race is one of two Democratic-held Senate seats in states Trump won, alongside Michigan. Republican challengers will participate in the primary election of 5/19/26 with run-off elections scheduled for 6/16/26 if no primary candidate gets a majority. While several Republicans have declared their candidacy to date, leading candidates are U.S. Representatives Earl Carter and Mike Collins and former University of Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley. Dooley, son of legendary University of Georgia football coach Vince Dooley, has been endorsed by popular Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. Trump has yet to endorse a candidate in this race. Ossoff’s 2021 win cost $150 million; the 2026 contest will likely be even more expensive. As of 5/1/2026, both the Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball rate this race as Lean Democrat.

Sherrod Brown Ohio Open Senate seat DONATE to the FM Senate Slate DONATE to Sherrod's Campaign • Return to the Senate Slate “For the past eight months, all they’ve done is made things worse for Ohioans, handing over your hard-earned money to corporations and to billionaires. Their reckless tariffs and economic chaos are increasing prices and threatening the survival of small businesses across the state. Instead of lowering the cost of healthcare, they're raising drug prices on seniors and kicking 490,000 hardworking Ohioans off their coverage. And they increased the deficit by more than 3 trillion dollars, all while giving billionaires the largest tax cut in American history.” - Campaign Announcement Launch Video, reported by J. Ingles, Statehouse News Bureau, 8/18/25 To hear directly from former Senator Brown, watch this short video: Sherrod Brown officially launches campaign to return to US Senate BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Sherrod Brown, a Mansfield, Ohio native, earned his BA from Yale University and graduate degrees in Public Administration (MPA) and Education (MA) from Ohio State University. Brown has held public office for 50 years: Ohio State Representative 1975-1982 Ohio Secretary of State 1983-1991 US Representative 1993-2007 US Senator 2007-2025 In the Senate, Brown chaired the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee and served on Finance, Veterans’ Affairs, and Ethics. After losing re-election in 2024 to Republican Bernie Moreno, he founded the Dignity of Work Institute , focused on reconnecting Democrats with working-class voters—what he calls both “an electoral and moral imperative.” On August 18, Brown announced his run for Ohio’s other Senate seat in the 2026 special election. The seat is currently held by Jon Husted, appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine after J.D. Vance became vice president. ON THE ISSUES Brown’s guiding principle is the dignity of work, inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.’s conviction that “all labor has dignity.” His record reflects this commitment: Advocated for higher wages, better benefits, and affordable healthcare Declined congressional healthcare until passage of the Affordable Care Act Opposed tax and trade policies that favored corporations over workers Longtime champion of marriage equality (supporting it for 25 years) Voted against both the Iraq War and NAFTA POLITICS IN OHIO Ohio, the seventh most populous state with the fourth largest rural population, has shifted solidly Republican. Once a swing state, it backed Donald Trump in all three elections by margins of 16, 20, and 11.2 points. The state has a Republican trifecta and triplex, with the GOP controlling the governorship, statewide offices, legislature, and most of its congressional delegation (10 of 15 House seats, both Senate seats.) Redistricting now threatens two Democratic House incumbents. For years, Brown was Ohio’s only statewide Democratic officeholder. As of 5/1/2026, the Cook Political Report rates this race as Toss Up while Sabato’s Crystal Ball rates the race as Lean Republican.
